It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John York (Elkin, North Carolina), who passed away on July 16, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Cora Alta Horton York. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann York; and his daughters, Debra Nixon of State Road, Phyllis Harris (Phil) of Mountain Park and Sandra Williard (Terry) of Courtney. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mountain Park Baptist Church, 419 Mountain Park Rd, State Road, NC 28676.
