He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gentry and Blanche Snow Gentry; and his siblings, Claude Gentry, Bonnie Knight and Jo Ann Joines.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn C. Gentry; his sons, Donnie Gentry and Dean Gentry; his stepchildren, Rixie Spicer (Lynn), Mazie Loggins (Daniel) and Betty Spicer; and his brother Ronnie Gentry (Frances). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
