He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Jackson and Elsie White Holder, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Vanessa C. Holder; his daughters, Shannon Holder Norris (Steven) of Lewisville and Ashley Dennette Riedel (David) of Franklinton, NC; his siblings, Tracy Holder (Judy) of Elkin, Jay Holder (Pat) of Elkin and Olene Phillips (Billy) of Elkin; and his grandchildren, Callie Norris, Jackson Norris, Phoenix Riedel and Vaughn Riedel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
