It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Stanton Durham of Elkin, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Durham and Monette Cummings; his daughter Mary Helms; and his brother John Durham. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Durham; and his children, Kenneth Macemore (Yvonne) of Monroe, Randy Macemore (Julie) of Virginia Beach, VA, Melanie Durham Garrison of Pinnacle, Kimberly Durham Steeves of Elkin, Deborah Lynn Durham of Liberty and Ruth Poplin (Jerry) of Elkin. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
