He is survived by: his wife Lynne Carter Phillips; his children, Cameron Phillips (Jackie) and Laura Hardy of Jonesville; his sisters, Nancy Capocy of Greensboro and Sandra Burris (John) of Kannapolis; and his grandchildren, Avery Pittman and Marley Hensley.
