He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Vanhoy and Ruby Lyons Vanhoy; his former wife Carol Vanhoy; and his siblings, Virginia Wagoner and Roger Vanhoy.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Thompson Vanhoy; his sons, Billy Vanhoy (Karen) of Lake Wylie and Jason Vanhoy (Danielle) of Ellenboro; his brother Willie Vanhoy, Jr. (Jerri) of Long Island, NY; his granddaughters, Sophia, Salem and Grier; and his mother-in-law Ardell Hemric of Elkin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Elkin Funeral Service (560 North Carolina 268 W, Elkin, NC 28621). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the State Road Pentecostal Holiness Church (4106 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Summerfield, NC 27358).
