It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Sloop Sr. (Elkin, North Carolina), who passed away on January 24, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Monroe and Cora Mounce Sloop; his children, Shawnee Sloop of Augusta, GA and Franklin Sloop, Jr. (Tiger) of Elkin, NC; his grandchildren, Dockery Sloop and Bronwyn Sloop of Elkin; and his siblings, Kathleen Sloop Pinnix of Yadkin County, Annie Sloop Shore of Yadkin County, Betty Burney (Bill Burney) of Greensboro and Jerry Gray Sloop. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
