He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus D. Dodson and Mamie Mae White Dodson; his wife Cora Lee Brown Dodson; and his siblings, Nannie Spicer, Avery Lee Dodson and Grady Dodson.
He is survived by: his children, David E. Dodson of Elkin and Michelle Dodson Park (Jeff) of Elkin; his sisters, Ruby Lynn, Dorothy Royall, Veronia Luffman, Ronda Spicer, Sethia Belle Dodson and Sally Dodson; his grandchildren, Chris "Poncho" Park (Kendra "Red"), Kaitlyn "Tater" Dodson, Ashlyn "Patch" Park and Kyle "Drew" Dodson; and his great grandchildren, Andrew and Aaron.
Mr. Dodson was a member of Charity Hill Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing.
