He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Smith and Versie Smith; his brothers, Roy Smith and Fred Smith; and his grandson Paul Garcia.

He is survived by: his cousins, Alex Miller (Connie), Terry Miller (Nancy) and Phyllis Garrett (Joe); and his close friend Evelyn Lowery.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private graveside memorial service will be held at Crestwood Memorial Garden in State Road at a later date.
