She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Cephus Jones and Victoria Hobson Jones; and her husband Elkin Vance Melvin. She is survived by: her children, Tony Vance Melvin (Glenda "Susie" Fisher) and Glenda M. Jackson (Lewis) of Newton Grove; her sister Bonnie Faye Coates of Godwin; her grandchildren, Tony Vance Melvin, II (Angie) of Eastover and Lindsey M. Scott (Harvey) of Fayetteville; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Vance Melvin, Addyson Faith Scott and Madelyn Grace Scott.
