She was predeceased by: her siblings, Bessie Byrd, Carlie Layell, Clarence Layell, Elsie Burchette and Foley Layell.

She is survived by: her spouse Dewitt I. Blevins; her son Dean G. Blevins; her wife Jo Ann; her daughter Rachel of Olathe; her nephew Terry Byrd (Terrie); and also, Scott Byrd and Jennifer Roth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
