Dorla Wagoner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorla Wagoner of Elkin, North Carolina, who passed away on August 17, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Esker Hinson and Kate Collins Hinson; her husband Harold Lee Wagoner; and her siblings, Connie H. Nance, Ileene Hinson, Faye Eldridge, Leon A. Hinson, John D. Hinson and Esker Hinson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Cockerham of Elkin, Vickie Lapp (Robb) of Wilmington and Tammy Smith (Steve) of Georgia; her stepchildren, Peegie Wagoner (Patricia) of State Road, Amy Mickle of Elkin and Gina Brendle of Elkin; her sisters, Jane Merritt of State Road and Blenda Wagoner of Elkin; her grandchildren, Ithyn Smith (Mariel) of Georgia, Kate Hiatt (Robert) of Wilmington, Halley Leffew (Jonathan) of Georgia, Stephen Lapp of Durham and Madison Smith of Georgia; and her great grandchild Charlie Hiatt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
