She was predeceased by: her parents, James Luther and Mamie Wilkins Chappell; her husband Ernest Jefferson Baker; her sister Kathryn Branon; and her pet Dolly.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Baker (Elaine) of Neptune Beach, FL and Kathy Baker of Elkin; and her granddaughter Tracy Ratledge of Mocksville. She is also survived by three great-grandsons; and two great-great grandsons.
