He is survived by: his wife Claudia Billings Byrd; his sons, David Reece Byrd, Darrell Byrd (Heather) of Elkin and Danny Byrd (Zoee) of Elkin; his siblings, Vernon Earl Byrd (Christy) of Hays, Bobby Byrd of Jonesville and Sharon Pruitt (Randy) of Hays; his mother-in-law Mary Colbert of Elkin; his close friends, Eddie Bobbitt (Sarah) of Elkin and Jason Myers of North Wilkesboro; and his grandchildren, Roxi Byrd and Damon Byrd.
