She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Edgar and Ennis Cockerham Nixon; her husband Tommy Hampton Sprinkle, Jr.; her son Joel Thomas "Joey" Sprinkle; and her sisters, Kay Rice and Carolyn Nixon.
She is survived by: her sons, Jay Nixon Sprinkle (Michelle) of Jonesville and Jonathan Morris Sprinkle (Kristi) of Elkin; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Sprinkle of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Retta Elizabeth Sprinkle of Elkin, Nathaniel Jay Sprinkle of Winston Salem, Braden Daniel Sprinkle of Elkin, Whitney Brooke Sprinkle of Charlotte, Colt Holcomb of Thurmond and Hailey Holcomb (Wilkesboro); and her great grandchildren, Ebba Nova Sprinkle and Sagan Poppy Sprinkle.
