It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clate Mash of Elkin, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Mash and Estelle Eller Mash; and his siblings, Kyle "Bud" Mash, Mary Chatham, Muriel Greer and Madge Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Williams Mash; his son Jeff Mash (Debbie); his stepsons, Donnie Mastin (Lisa) and Brian Mastin (Cindy); his siblings, Kenneth Mash (Carolyn), Jean Sturgill and Mae Houck; his stepgrandchildren, Amber Martin (Wesley), Alison Mathis (Chad), Ashley Mastin, Joseph Mastin, Hailey Tharpe (Nathan), Kalyca Mastin, Albert McCann (Naomi), Jamie McCann and Uriah McCann; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Riley Mathis, Emory Martin, Eden Martin, Kinsley Mathis and Salem Tharpe. He is also survived by 10 step grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
