It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Gene Dotson Sr. of Elkin, North Carolina, born in Elkton, Maryland, who passed away on May 13, 2024, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry G. Dotson and Opal Marrow Dotson; and his brothers, Ronald E. Dotson (Pam) of North East, MD and Johnny Dotson. He is survived by: his children, Ashley Graham of North East, MD, Brittany A. Dotson of North East, MD, Bobby G. Dotson, Jr. of Colora, MD, Molly Swiney of Grundy, VA and Travis Dotson of Grundy, VA; his grandchildren, Jayden, Keelyn, Emma, Owen, Elijah, Hayden, Austin and Luca; his siblings, Larry D. Dotson (Kim) of Grundy, VA, Gary L. Dotson (Kim) of Elkton, MD, Tammy Martin of Elkton, MD and Pammy Owens (Trae) of Salisbury, MD; and his aunt Rita Holbrook of Elkin, NC. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
