Betty Dockery Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Dockery of Elkin, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Livingston Stewart and Alene Sapp Stewart; her husband Thomas Harold Dean Dockery; her son Barry Thomas Dockery; and her brother Bobby Stewart.

She is survived by: her daughter Jean; her son-in-law James Longworth; her son Chris; her daughters-in-law, Tammy Dockery and Sandra Dockery; her grandchildren, Joshua, Kendra Longworth, Jacob, Jennifer Longworth, Sydney Dockery and Riley Dockery; her great grandchildren, Lily, Maggie Longworth, Josie Longworth and Jameson Longworth; her sister Barbara Parker; and her pet Miss Annie.

Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
