She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Eli and Bessie Mahaffey Alexander; and her husband Fred J. Billings. She is survived by: her daughters, Gayle Spillane (Mark) of Winston-Salem and Lynn Roper (Alex) of Hickory; her grandchildren, Leigha Smith (Dusty), Heather Brewer (Brandon), Wally Stiehm (Cassie), Elizabeth Morrison (Todd) and Katherine Stiehm; her great grandchildren, Eli Byrd, Thorin Smith, Branson Cheek and Natalie Morrison; and her sisters, Norma Lee Barlow of Taylorsville and Wanda Foster of North Wilkesboro.
