She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Roosevelt Rary and Pauline Rary (Disher); her husband William Kenneth Stroud; and her sister Zana M. Wheeler. She is survived by: her children, Jerry Carl Stroud (Sarah) of Wilmington, NC and Kathy Stroud; her sister Carolyn R. Harris of Winston-Salem; her granddaughter Holly Hodge (Adam); her great grandchildren, Brielle and Emma Hodge; her nieces, Ria Harris and Zana Marette of Winston-Salem, NC; her nephew Brooks Mayberry of Encino, CA.; and her close friend Brandi Mahan.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic there will be no formal services at Bernice's request.
