She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pennington and Lessie Pennington; her husband Bobby Lee Tulbert; her siblings, John Mack Pennington, Jack Welburn Pennington, William Watson Pennington, Leana Ruth Pennington Ingold, Peggy Joyce, Pennington Taylor and Nancy Elizabeth Pennington; and her granddaughter Jennifer Tulbert Elgebrowney.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Keith Tulbert (Ellen), Lynn Tulbert Zimmerman (Pete), Bobbi Elgabrowney, Ibrahim Elgebrowney, Julie Tulbert (Caleb Bowers), Ian Zimmerman (MacKenzie Andrillion) and Ryan Zimmerman (Meredith); and her grandchildren, Ellie Grace Zimmeran and Sloane Maclean Zimmerman. She is also survived by her children she is survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (593 Pleasant Hill Dr, Elkin, NC 28621). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (593 Pleasant Hill Dr, Elkin, NC 28621).
