It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allan Bruce Asbell of Elkin, North Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Asbell and Ann Byrum; and his brother Joe Asbell. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Asbell; his daughter Rebecca Durham (Chip) of Elkin; his sister Angela; his sister-in-law Jane; his grandchildren, Jordan Durham (Megan) of Elkin and Madison Martin (Ryan) of Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Oliver, Willow, Lucas, Katelyn, Natalie, Erin and Ally.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beaver Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017 or to the Rotary Club of Kernersville 1130 N. Main Street Kernersville, NC 27284.

“We are so sorry that Allan passed away. Debbie and their family are in our prayers. Allan was energetic and always helped others. Allan was the leader of the annual Asbell Family Reunions in Tyner, NC and made it a fun event. Allan and Debbie made it a welcoming event for everyone. "Uncle Al" as he was affectionately called was an avid photographer and shared his photographs and stories about older Asbell relatives at the reunions. Allan will be missed. Ed and Linda McBride”
