She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ross Vance and Viola Vance; her sisters, Christina Vance and Lilian "Did" Clark; her children, Barry Jones of Minneapolis, Jamie Jones (Mandy) of Cranberry and Karla Smith Holdren (Jon) of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Ashley Ollis, Kristen Whitson (DJ), Katelyn Jones, Chloe Holdren and Evan Jones; and her siblings, Tom Vance (Shirley), Harold Vance (Kathy), Roger Vance (Joan), Bettie Jean Vance and Norma "Boots" Burleson.
