She was predeceased by: her father Dave Potter; her husband L. B. Hayes (Janice); and her siblings, Ken Potter, Phil Potter and Peggy Lewis.
She is survived by: her mother Etta Potter (Julian); her children, Scott Hayes (Ramona) of Elk Park, NC, Keith Hayes (Eloine) of Johnson City and Sherri Heaton (Robert) of Roan Mountain; and her grandchildren, Makenzie Buchanan (Ryan) of Raleigh, NC, Lorraine Hayes of Boston, MA, Joshua Hayes of Tallahassee, FL and Alex Heaton of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by mom and grandmother.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tetrick Rhododendron Chapel (8460 US-19E, Roan Mountain, TN 37687). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Taylor's Chapel Cemetery (1291 Buck Mountain Rd, Elk Park, NC 28622).
