He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Puckett Markland of Elk Park, NC; his children, Jerry Markland, Jr. (Ella) of Elk Park, NC, Samuel Markland (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL and Jason Markland of Elk Park, NC; his siblings, June Wolfe of Sun City, FL, Betty Sams (Jerry) of Canton, NC, Patty Lynch of Cleveland, TN, Pattie Davis of Banner Elk, NC and Blaine Markland (Mavis) of Maryville, IL; and his grandchildren, Oak Markland, Finley Markland, Jerry W. "Tripp" Markland, III, Isla Markland and Lilly Markland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
