He was predeceased by: his father Phillip Fields. He is survived by: his parent Shirley Caraway Fields of Newland; his wife Mary Henson Henson of Elk Park, NC; his son Daniel Fields (Meagan Stelchook) of Boone, NC; his granddaughters, Natalie Stelchook and Jade Fields; his daughter Ashly Wilson (Bryan) of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandson Everrett Wilson; his children, D. J. Fields of Newland, NC and Ashley Warren (Eddie Shell) of Crossnore, NC; his grandson Henry Shell; his brother Tim Fields (Betty Hicks) of Newland, NC; and his cousins, Jeff Caraway (Becky) of Banner Elk, NC, Rick Caraway of Lenoir, NC and Kathy Caraway of Lenoir, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
