She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Townsend and Nell Turbyfill Townsend. She is survived by: her husband William Carpenter (Bill); her sons, William Allen Carpenter of Elk Park, NC and Brandon (Kayla Buchanan); and her grandchildren, Everly, Norah, Wyatt, Harlan and Clara.
