He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Brenda Coffey Isaacs of Sugar Grove, Richard Cline Coffey of Elk Park and Randall Wayne Coffey of Elk Park; his grandsons, Josiah David Isaacs of Boone and Andrew Joshua Isaacs of Sugar Grove; his sister Mallie Christine Coffey Clark of Raleigh; his wife Joannne Phillips Coffey; his parents, William McKinley Coffey and Annie Lee Crump Coffey; his stepfather Wheeler Eden Coffey; his granddaughter Faith Elizabeth Isaacs; his siblings, Willie Coffey, Wilma Coffey, Dorothy Coffey, Pauline Coffey Sprouse, Shirley Coffey Burse, Lorene Coffey Goodwin, Roy Coffey and Paul Coffey; and his friend David Dale, Sr..
