He was predeceased by: his parents, Stokes King and Oakie Hughes King; his son Bradley Allen King; and his siblings, Fred, Charlie, Nubert, Russel, Ronald King, Vergie Brewer and Vina King.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda Canup of Stanley; his sons, Brian Andrew King (Theresa) of Newland and Bruce Allison King (Sherry) of Roan Mountain; his grandchildren, Jared (Megan) of Newland and Kelly (Kyle) of Piney Flats; his great grandchild Peyton Rae King of Newland; and his sisters, Vanda Buchanan of Powder and Verdi Burleson of Newland.
