He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Comer and Grace Corley Comer; his wife Dena Lawrence Comer; and his brother Phil Comer. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Hartis (Brandon) of Indian Trail; his grandson Clay Hartis of Indian Trail; his sister Susan Blackwelder (Sid) of Conway; and his nieces and nephews, Mark Blackwelder, Brent Comer (Brandi), Christie Bryant (Patrick) and Holley Wallace (Mike).
