It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aldon Strickland of Elk Park, North Carolina, who passed away on January 30, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Strickland and Lucy Winters Strickland; his wife Hazel Taylor Strickland; his son Michael Aldon Strickland; and his siblings, Alvin, Earl, J. D., Pat, John Strickland, Helen Riley, Hazel Buck and Teresa Strickland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Strickland Guinn (Tommy) of Elk Park and Leisa Strickland of Elk Park; and his grandchildren, Thomas Guinn (Amber), Michelle Whitley (Joel), Nicole Guinn (Chad), Rein Strickland, Joshua Strickland, Matthew Strickland, Bryson Whitley, Jadyn Whitley and Coleton McKinney.
