She was predeceased by: her parents, Charleston W. Smith and Ethel Thompson Smith; her husband Lewis Tatum; and her siblings, Carl Smith, C. W. Smith, Glenda Faircloth, Macie Smith, Iretha Smith, Wilbur Smith, Dormey Smith, Elena Smith, Geneva Smith, Ruthie Mae Smith and Venton Smith.

She is survived by: her sons, Clayton Tatum (Debra) of Elizabethtown, Johnny Tatum (LaVonda) of Elizabethtown and Ricky Tatum; her grandchildren, Crystal Radford (Michael) of Radford, Marcia Clark (Jake) of Elizabethtown, Johnathan Tatum (Dianna) of Elizabethtown, Jessica Guyton (Aaron) of Leland, Erin Merritt (Mark) of Harrells, Jamie Tatum (Ashley) of Wilmington and Matthew Tatum (Michele) of Whiteville; her great grandchildren, Tatum Singletary, Tanner Singletary, Sophia Jacome-Singletary (Victor), Kylie Radford, Peyton Tatum, Owen Radford, Maverick Merritt, Layla Guyton, Avery Tatum, Hudson Tatum, Cooper Clark, Oliver Radford, Seth Guyton, Hadley Tatum, Harris Tatum and Weston Tatum; and her brother Truman Smith of Fayetteville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
