He was predeceased by: his father Leroy Seals; his wife Mamie Seals; and his brothers, Lacy Lindsey, John Seals and Daniel Seals.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Seals of Steadman and Gerald Seals of Puerto Rico; and his siblings, Leroy Seals of Laurinburg and Clara Watson of St. Pauls. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
