She was predeceased by: her parents, Creston Harvey and Eunice Guyton Butler; her siblings, Nettie Van, Wanda Kaye, Barney, Samuel and Waitous Butler; and her granddaughter Emily Rose.

She is survived by: her husband James "Jimmy" Henry Tatum; her siblings, Leston Butler of Raleigh, Donald Butler of Bladenboro, Sarah Meares and Valeria Lupo of Bladenboro; and her daughter Vonda. She is also survived by her husband and children, grandchildren, family members.
