She is survived by: her children, Philip Steffes (Hildegardo Avila Carranza) of Charlotte, NC, Rebecca Roberts (Colon) of Tar Heel, NC, Sandra Read (Kevin) of Fayetteville, NC, Jamie Parker of Myrtle Beach, SC, Karol Sykes of Lumberton, NC and Lisa Steffes of Lumberton, NC; and her sisters, Edna Benton of Lumberton, NC and Dorothy Simmons (James) of Highpoint, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
