It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Nell Gooden of Elizabethtown, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Sessoms and Eleanor Butler Sessoms; her husband Phillip Gooden; her daughter Donna Gooden; and her sister Nancy Sessoms.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Pamela Rice and Travis Rice of Bladenboro; her great grandchildren, Skyler Guyton, Elyn Rice and Ada Rice; and her brother Edward Sessoms, Jr. of Clinton.
