It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelby Claudette McKoy of Elizabethtown, North Carolina, who passed away on May 29, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband James McKoy; her children, Dezmond Harper (Jane Mi) of Fayetteville, NC, Khary McKoy of Dallas and LaShan Hooker (Kevin) of Burlington, NC; her siblings, Althea McAllister of Elizabethtown, NC, John Lucas of Elizabethtown, NC, Sherwood Lucas (Rosalind) of Elizabethtown, NC and Donavan Lucas (Sheila) of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Kyla, Nyhjah, Dezmond Jr., Myles, Melina, Kendall, Kennedi, Jayla, Olivia, Naomi, Devan and Khaliya. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
