He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Joseph Laut, Sr. and Martha Sutphen Laut; his former wife Katherine Laut; and his sister Ellen Settele. He is survived by: his wife Nora Townsend Laut; his son Christopher Laut (Christine) of Minnesota; his stepsons, Edward Howell (Linda) of Clarksville and Ricky Howell (Gerlda) of Lumberton; his daughters, Julie Morgan of Somerville and Cindy Fischer (Wayne) of Elizabethtown; and his brother Harry Smith of Greenwood. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
