She was predeceased by: her parents, Jurdie Velton Butler, Sr. and Mildred Memory Butler; her husband Archie G. Ward, Jr.; her brother J. V. Butler, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Pauline Butler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Schultz (Mike) of Fuquay Varina, Teresa Bordeaux of Dublin and Kathi Ward (Ricky) of Dublin; her sisters, Jewel Skinner, Claudette Smith and Ruby McDuffie; and her grandchildren, Felicia Britt, Danny Britt, Jill Laura Frisley (Chris), Archie Bordeaux, Ashley "Stumpy" Bordeaux (Amber), Willie Ward (Whitley) and Stanley Ward (Julia). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3131 M. L. K. Dr, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Singletary Church Cemetery (241 Third St, Dublin, NC 28332).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dublin Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church 6964 Albert St. Hwy 87, Dublin, NC 28332.
