She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Harding and Fanny Hocutt Coward; her husbands, David Taylor Ayers and Roy Eugene Lomax; her sisters, Ann Elizabeth Salter, Evelyn Frances Riggs and Susie Allene Raley; and her stepdaughter Karen Lomax Priest.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Ayers Sasser of Lillington and David Taylor Ayers of Elizabethtown; her stepson Allan E. Lomax of West Jefferson; her sisters, Margaret Faye Jennette (Herman) and Fannie Lucille Meachen (Jim); her granddaughters, Laura Sasser Rush and Lynn Sasser Smith; and her great grandchildren, Owen Brantley Rush, Connor Nix Rush, Grey Cordon Smith, Laney Katherine Smith and Mary Scott Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
