She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Harley Hardin and Virginia Nancy Simmons; her husband Clifton Butler; and her sister Carolyn Crawford. She is survived by: her daughter Wendy B. Dockery (Joey) of Dublin; her siblings, Jasper "Buckwheat" Hardin (Carol) of Lisbon, Linda Brown of Bolton and Kathy Flowers (Carlos) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Brittney Hester (Maurice) and Henry Dockery; her great grandchild Will Hester; and her caregiver Lois Dennard.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3131 M. L. K. Dr, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM at the Bladen Memorial Gardens (5381 NC-242, Elizabethtown, NC 28337).
