She was predeceased by: her parents, Adell F. Smith and Janie Bell Smith; her siblings, Charles Smith, Kenneth Smith, Anthony Smith, Hilda Smith and Janice Smith; her daughter Margaret Platt; and her grandson Mark Anthony Peterson.
She is survived by: her children, James V. Peterson (Janice) of Elizabethtown, Patrica P. Johnson (Alton) of Elizabethtown and Paul N. Peterson (Angela) of Elizabethtown; her sister Barbara Autry of Clarkton; her grandchildren, Ross Johnson (Katie) and Savanna Hodge (Chris); her great grandchildren, James Hand, Jordan Williams and Mason Williams; her close friends, Lucille Wilkins and Sylvia Tatum; and her pet Bubba. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation or to Liberty Hospice.
