She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Holmes and Eunice Holmes; her husband Henry Layton Ross; her sister Linda Byrd; her brother-in-law Norman Ward; and her son-in-law John Patrick Kelly.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Ross Cain (Terry) and Henry Layton "Hank" Ross Jr. (Shannon); her grandchildren, Grace Mireille Ross, John Patrick Kelly II, Leighanne Ross Melton (Hunter), Samuel Layne Ross, Karly Layton Ross and Aldyn Luke Ross; her great grandchild Kyleigh Jane Melton; her stepgrandchildren, Michael Lee Cain, Joey Lynn Cain (Nellie) and Tiffany S. Price (RI); her siblings, Jack Holmes (Betty), Richard Holmes (Judy) and Louise Ward; and her brothers-in-law, Harrel Byrd and Jack Anderson.
