He is survived by: his wife Pauline Peterson; his sons, James V. Peterson (Janice) of Elizabethtown and Paul N. Peterson (Angela) of Elizabethtown; his stepson Billy Averitt (Linda) of Bladenboro; his daughter Patrica Johnson (Alton) of Elizabethtown; his brother Vann N. Peterson of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Ross Johnson (Katie) and Savanna Hodge (Chris); his stepgranddaughters, Cindy Averitt and Kathleen Davis; and his great grandchildren, James Hand, Jordan Williams and Mason Williams.
