She was predeceased by: her father Willie Durham Nance; her husband N. W. "Nymph" Singletary Jr.; her siblings, Ernest Nance, Muriel Bordeaux and Evelyn King; her nieces, Deloris Brisson and Brenda Gooden; and her nephew Johnny Bordeaux.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Dublin First Baptist Church.
