He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Walter and Minnie Atabury Leeda Walter; his wife Dora Dunn Walter; and his children, Michael Doyce Walter and Sandra Kay Ruffi.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Joe Walter (Ning) of Florida, Cheril Denese Beyer (Don) of Elizabethtown and Sheila Diane Koger (Rick) of Michigan; and his brother Larry Walter of Arkansas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
