With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daphne Hardee (Elizabethtown, North Carolina), who passed away on September 30, 2019 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Spurgeon Potter and Minnie Lethia Kelly Potter; her husband Matthew Francis Hardee; and her siblings, Rudolph Potter (Lucy), Samuel Potter (Juanita), Kathleen Hilton and Mary Wells (Percy).
She is survived by: her children, Charles Matthew Hardee Sr. (Betty) of Elizabethtown, James Marion Hardee (Beverly) of Wrightsville Beach, NC, Ann Hardee Jones (Richard) of Chocowinity, NC and Jane Hardee Horst (Peter) of Scotts Hill, NC; and her grandchildren, Charles Matthew Hardee Jr., Lucas Terrell Hardee (Donna), Letha Hardee Wells (Mickey), James Richard Jones III (Kelly), Marcus Hardee Jones (Lilly), Daniel Horst (Katherine), Fisher James Hardee and Jackson Potter Hardee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elizabethtown Christian Academy or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
