She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Kemp, Jr.; her parents, Harper Dail and Minnie Dail; and her siblings, John H. Dail, Norman Dail, Viola D. James, Virginia D. Albertson, Ethel D. Williams, Margaret Mobley, Hettie D. Molitor and Ruth D. Peake.
She is survived by: her daughter Faye Phillips (Mark) of Hope Mills; her sisters-in-law, Doris Jones of Jacksonville, Edith Bass of Lumberton, Cathie Hoover of Cameron, NC and Hattie Stewart of Waycross, GA; and her goddaughters, Brittany Herring of Westminster, CO and Ericka Herring of Greenville, NC..
