She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Tyler and Vacola Tart Tyler; and her husband Ricky Lee Ward. She is survived by: her son James Dean Edwards (Lisa) of Lafayette, TN; her stepsons, Ricky Ward Jr. of Tabor City, NC and Jonathan Ward of Tabor City, NC; her daughter Tina Edwards of Elizabethtown; and her siblings, John Tyler of Elizabethtown, Mona Squires (Ray) of Kelly and Linda Davis.
