With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Lane Carter Johnson (Elizabethtown, North Carolina), born in Hampstead, North Carolina, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Johnson; her parents, David Lee Carter and Mamie White Carter; her son William D. Johnson, Jr.; her brothers, Lowell Thomas "Tommy" Carter, Clayton Lee Carter and Donald Ray "Bo" Carter; her sister-in-law Betty Johnson; and her grandson Jeremy Michael Cain.
She is survived by: her daughter Crystal Renee'Storms (Brian) of Elizabethtown; her sisters, Jean Carter Moore of Elizabethtown and Nancy Sue Carter of Hope Mills; her granddaughter Brittany Renee'Simmons; her great grandchildren, Hunter Blake Simmons (Aubrie Wilt) and Hayleigh Brooke Simmons; her friend Nessie Thompson; and her pet Bella.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Methodist Church PO Box 759 Elizabethtown, NC 28337 for playground improvements or to Liberty Hospice.
